Hips are said to be the emotional center of the body. Maybe that is why hip openers tend to be some of the most powerful poses around. Most of us spend a lot of time sitting, whether you work at a desk, drive often, or like to sink into your couch for some netflix, all of us spend a lot of time in this position. All of this hip flexion can cause tension to build in the hips, affecting the spine and even the knees. Join Jo for this 2 hour workshop looking at all things hip related. We will spend the first hour looking at the anatomy of the hips, discussing alignment in key poses, strengthening exercises and stretches to open the hips in a therapeutic manner. The second hour will be spent doing a yin yoga class centered around the hips. This class will have soothing music and lots of hands on love. Leave with your hips feeling a whole lot happier!
