The Beauty of Savasana
Arrive to this workshop fed and rested and allow yourself some devotion to stillness. Enhance the development of your skills in savasana by learning how to listen attentively to the conversation within your body. Traditional (on your back) and a Side lying savasana will be explored as well as, two, separately guided savasanas. Use of sound as an anchor, use of silence and options to try supported savasanas. A brief description of the Yogic philosophy around development of and also benefits to the practice, as well as, room for discussion, Q&A will be provided. Body temperature does in fact, decrease when at rest and as there will be little physical practice prior please do arrive with comfortable clothing that is preferably long sleeves and pants, even socks. If you have pillows/cushions, bolsters or blankets from home that you would like to brinG please do; an eye mask or eye pillow is also helpful but not mandatory. Use of aromatherapy via diffuser and essential oils will be used during massage.
Nikkoel is a Moksha trained teacher with additional training in Moksha Prenatal Yoga, Moksha Flow, Yogassage and Yin. A previous career in healthcare lends to her appreciation for empowering others to educate themselves in the health and function of their body. Years competing in martial arts have also further fueled her love of functional anatomy and smooth, strength-based movement. Nikkoel hopes to inspire you to self-confidence that will allow you the freedom to move more freely in your body, and have lots of fun doing it.
